Tips for a Fully Stocked Home Bar

Posted by Joe on 2/5/2013
Having a bar is a fun addition to any home. Hosting parties will be an even more fun experience once you have your fully stocked home bar. Here are a few things that will add those finishing touches to your home bar.

First things first, once you have your bar area make sure you have stock of cups you will like to use for drinks. You will also need bar tools to help you mix, blend, and stir those drinks, so you will also need shakers, strainers, jiggers, bar spoons, speed pours, ice essentials, a blender, and a juicer.

Other bar tools you will need are liquor, mixers, and garnishes. Base liquors you should acquire are one of each type, except whiskey because not all whiskey drinks are the same. Gin, Tequila, Vodka, Rum, Bourbon, Brandy, and different types of Whiskey. For liqueurs you can use amaretto, vermouth, and Irish cream liqueurs. There are many you can choose.

For mixers, stock up on several different type of sodas and fruit juicers. To add the finishing touches to your drink you will need to stock garnishes consisting of olives, cherries, lemons, limes, and anything you find creative and fun.

After you have all the essential bar tools for your home bar you can have a ton of fun hosting parties and making drinks for your guests.
