Choosing the Perfect Aerator

Posted by Taylor on 12/11/2013 to Aerating Wine
Aerators are a great addition to any home that loves the taste and smell of wine. However, if you have never shopped for an aerator before, you may find that it can be confusing because there are so many different options to choose from.

When you want immediate enjoyment of the taste and quality of your wine, an aerator is the best way to achieve that. These items are not difficult to use but they do come in a variety of styles. The one that you choose should reflect your level of comfort because that is what is most important.

Before you choose which aerator is right for you, it is important that you understand why they are so beneficial. They are meant to help you achieve the greatest flavor possible with no wait time. Decanters are known for providing the fullest of flavors, but the disadvantage is that people must put their wine in a decanter ahead of time. You can use this for individual servings as you go!

Your first aerator option is a pour through aerator. Models vary from the Rabbit Swish to the Shower to the Funnel. Either way you go, you know that you can expect full satisfaction! You may also find that these aerators are mostly used just for red wine.

Some people prefer to use a bottle attached aerator. It is known to be easier to use for those that have a less steady hand. They are made very easily and attach with very little effort. You have the option here to pour it straight into the glass or pour it into a decanter for even better quality!

Aerators are great to have around if you love the taste of red wine. Finding the right one will make it much easier to enjoy when you are ready to pop open your favorite bottle.
